“Once upon a time there was a country called Argentina
with so many beautiful characteristics. One of them was freedom which was the
most treasured for all people. Suddenly, the entire world was lockdown and
human beings got crazy ....” Maybe, in the future you can tell a short story
like this to your grandchildren and I am sure it would be the best story where
you are the main character. But what will be the most important theme of your
story? It depends how you deal with anxiety during lockdown.
Argentina has the
longest quarantine in the world, so it is easy to imagine that people are
getting crazy at home, particularly those families that have children. But stop
here! Think about one principle of The Law of Attraction: “Things that are
similar in their essence are attracted to each other”. In others words, the
more positive our thoughts are the more positive our life will be. Thus, it
depends only on you whether quarantine will be a hell or not. Fortunately, you
can do a lot of things to deal with anxiety during lockdown and I will give you
some tips.
Firstly, do you
remember how many times you said that you do not have time to exercise? So, the
time is right now my dear. There are no
excuses to start doing exercise at home, evidently it is not the same as going
to the gym or going for a walk but you can start moving your body until the
quarantine finishes. It will be beneficial not only for your physical
appearance also for your mental health. There are many videos that you can find
online to make different types of exercises like aerobics and cardio, yoga,
pilates and fitness.
Secondly, healthy
alimentation is also very important. Imagine what doing exercise and eating
healthy can do in your body. This combination will make your health stronger
than before quarantine, and if you catch the covid-19 virus, you will be well
prepared to affront it. Learning to cook online also helps you to relax and
focus your mind on productive things. Think about that when you go out again,
you will be a new person with a new lifestyle.
Thirdly, another way
to pass time during lockdown is to cultivate your own vegetables and fruits.
Obviously it is better if you have a garden but you can find on the internet
many ways to cultivate your products at home. For example, you can save the
seeds of fruits and vegetables when cooking and plant these in pots on your
windowsill. You are not only distracting yourself, you are protecting the
environment.
Finally, put things in
the right place and time. It means that you need to make a timetable in order
to make your life easier. Most people are working from home and also studying
with online classes. Write down your schedule so you do not forget any work or
class, anybody is prepared to affront this new lifestyle but you can give your
best. Dealing with technology is stressful but it could be positive in the way
that you learn to use different programs that you never used before. Besides,
you can keep in touch with your family and friends using your cell-phone or
your computer.
In conclusion, you can
do lots of things in order to make quarantine less stressful for you and your
family. Doing exercise, eating healthy, cultivating your own food and making a
timetable will give you positive thinking. Your grandchild will be happy to
listen how you deal with anxiety during lockdown in the best way.
